This 12.5" tall, oversized collection of Gail Simone's award-winning run on Red Sonja already featured over 512 of gorgeous art by Walter Geovani and the series's various, talented cover artists. To contrast this highly-detailed, full-color artwork, I chose a 2-color design, featuring large areas of negative space. Having designed many previous Red Sonja volumes, I wanted the cover for this deluxe volume to stand out from what the company had done before by giving it a more literary feel to it, all while showcasing the strength and violence of the character.
